FAQ’s
How many companies are members of the LeadsCouncil?
There are approximately 85 member companies as of year-end 2010. The membership is comprised roughly of 1/3 lead buyers, 1/3 lead sellers and 1/3 third party technology/information service companies. Feel free to check out our Membership page for a list of our membership.
How is the LeadsCouncil different from other past industry groups ?
Three main points of differentiation. 1) We are fortunate to have the largest contingency of active lead buyers providing our group with feedback about what matters to them. That has been and will remain to be a prime focus for us. 2) We try to steer away from the traditional industry association model of big lumbering committees and massive conference calls. Instead, we focus on providing vertical working groups for most of our activities- EDU, Insurance, and Lending for example. 3) Independent Insight. The leadership of the LeadsCouncil does not compete with any of its constituents from a day to day business perspective. As a result, our members feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts as part of the collective research.
Give me your elevator pitch. What is the LeadsCouncil all about (in 30 seconds or less)?
The LeadsCouncil’s main goal is to make it easier for our members to find trusted partners. That may mean a lead buyer finding a new lead source through our group, a lead seller finding a trusted lead technology partner through our group or a lead information service partner better understanding the needs of lead buyers and lead sellers through our group. Overall, we focus on delivering objective research, superior insight and promote executive networking to accomplish this goal.
